Sorry man, I completely read that wrong. I read no phone rule. Shorts is just not during orientation. So I was told by my DBL. But then I was told there were trailers in areas they weren't regularly. So take that with a grain of salt I guess.

I had all my tuition stuff all squared away with the recruiter the day I got my CDL. One fax from the school to GB and it was done. I'm surprised your recruiter didn't do the same. Maybe because yours was through a loan company? I really don't know.

shouldnt matter. all I showed 90 day dbl was the contract with the school showing the tuition amount. my payments didnt start til the month following my actual start of solo driving. just so happened to be 30 days.

What is the purpose of the 90 day 'DBL?" Is he supposed to be like a coach to walk you through in the beginning?

OMG, what a mess. Reading all this I am seriously dreading even getting in a truck for SNI. I never worked for a huge company before and all this is new to me. Wow.

I'm still looking at a few companies, SNI for the most part is at the end of the list because of low pay. reading all the problems here I think SNI is off the list. kinda sucks too, I like the 3 to 4 weeks and you got a truck.

Do the larger dedicated accounts use a 90 day DBL too or is it just OTR/Regional? The first I ever heard of a starter DBL was probably in @Friday 's thread. In theory it's a good concept but it seems like more of a hassle for the new drivers who already know how to wipe their own ###.

Most dedicated accounts don't have a 90 day dbl, just VTL.

Yeah, what jake said. my start was a 6-3 regional position on the van tl side where I had the 90 day guy. then I moved to dedicated at 6 month mark. Been on this side ever since , although on paper I am now back on vtl. This allows direct access by my office to vtl freight board for backhauls etc, without needing to utilize another person in between or 3rd party brokers. My primary freight is account freight though.
