Haven't posted in a bit. Things are good. Had some really nice runs. Since coming on Monday morning I've run almost 1700 miles. Going over my total for last week's nightmare. I'm sitting now because somehow my NAT was changed from what I set it. No idea why. But it gave me opportunity to talk to my DBL.

I asked about the switch to the HD account (another thread) he said I'd have to wait 6 months.

I kept getting a message about performance metrics being 75%. He explained to me that I have some catching up to do with TAH on paper because of training going into this quarter. It's not a me thing. It just hasn't been accounted for I guess. Next was fuel stops. I didn't know that if you have a fuel stop listed you have to fuel there. I thought you could skip them as needed. I've been fueling every other day. Waiting till I get about a quarter tank. I was advised to do so. They said some loads you don't want to be heavy on fuel for. So I guess from now on I'll just fuel up to about 3/4 a tank to keep my bonus happy. My on time delivery was great he said. I had only been late once that was my fault. I called the night before though. My first load was impossible dispatch that I had entered driver related because that's what we are trained to do lol.

Other than all that I'm staying out for 2 weeks by force of the wife to go on this trip with the in laws. It's time with the kids too so I can't be that upset about it. Happy wife. Happy life.

The wait for an assignment continues....

Another thing. My newer truck is having some issues. I think that it may have been messed with by the previous driver. It always will idle. Never shuts off. However, I woke up at 12am to it idling high. The only way it would stop was to press the accelerator pedal. It normally idles at 500-600 then when it increases it goes to about 1300. It slowly creeps up. The truck shakes. I wake up. It's only done this 3 times. The only thing I can associate it with is temp. Low 70s each time. Last night I shut it off and sweat it out. The next is the cruise works when wipers are on. I don't drive in the rain with the cruise (people that don't like sandals or printed shirts). The temp on dash will read about 10° hotter than posted on a sign or the weather app I have.

It's got a maintenance visit to go to while I'm on that trip. I may let the mechanic know. What yall think about it?

Since I've had the truck it's only regen once. But the light isn't flashing or anything. Not even lit. Can you do it without it being lit up? I just tried now and nothing.

no. its an auto regen? look in the manuel. should be a sticker on the visors tell you how to do a manual regen. as well as rough idea of how critical or not the dash lights are.

    you sure its only 1300?

It's the regen...annoying that it does it automatically but it appears they program the trucks this way.

I personally would not mention these "issues"...

I'll double check the RPMs next time it does it. I was just wondering due to always being at night. The visor says 1400-1500 RPMs. But that is for manual regen. Doesn't say for automatic. It does say it will usually do auto while you're driving. Unless flashing pull over to do it. But the confusing thing is if it is a regen thing why does the light not come on? Figured it would let me know if that is what it is doing it would be on. Who knows lol.

Yeah I didn't want to mention the issues. But then again I didn't want to be blamed for something. I guess if asked I'll just play dumb.

How long should a person wait before calling for an assignment after they said to wait for one? It's been almost 3 hours. Never waited this long.
