I find it pulls best the more equal the weight is between axle groups. or feels like it does anyway.

to nitpick , yes, ideally he would have reweighed to show it as it would be dropped. but credit to him/her for the note.

if you ever question a relay, scale ticket left or not ,weigh it yourself.

for me, I try to leave a relay as I would hope to find it.

Back at the Indy OC for the night. Had an interesting few days. Last night I was held up at a live load appt. With about 3 hours left on my 14. They took their sweet time loading me. Then when done were trying to hurry me out the gate. I'm rushing trying to do my Qualcomm assignments and set my Nav to my fuel stop where I'm planning on spending the night. I end up leaving in a hurry. Going toward Chicago. It starts pouring. 2hrs left and truck stop full. Next one. Full. Next one full. 1hr left. Rush hour traffic. Running out of options. At the last stop I look up Schneider Chicago on Google. 3 locations. All about 30 min away. I call the number. It's for recruiting. I don't have time to sit on the required 2hr hold time for the DBL line. I leave. But freaking out. Hit a light. Call my wife. Ask her to look at an aerial view of the Schneider and see if there is any trailers. She said there were. I pull in with 10 min left. Whew. Dodged a bullet.

So the Indy OC..... couple days ago the people were great. 2 guys at the desk. Friendly. Personable. Today. Not so much. I stopped at the a pilot and fueled up. Passed on fast food because I can get a cooked meal here. I walk in with my shower stuff and had to the kitchen. Empty. ####. Well I've got some food I haven't touched in the truck. Ramen noodles it is. I go to the desk. Woman says "can I help you?" Without taking her eyes off I can only assume to be a computer game. I reply "hi, how you doing tonight?" She breaks from the screen and stares at me blankly like I just farted. Awkward silence that seemed to last eternity. Both of us looking directly into each other's souls. She finally breaks and says "I said..... can I help you." I stumble to respond "ummm well, I said how are you. It usually triggers a response. But I guess not in this case. Can I use a coffee cup for some hot water? Or do you want to charge me for it?" "You can have it" she says then immediately looks away. Have a nice night I guess..... must be a hard life to be so miserable. I really don't get people.

I'm going to take a shower and devise up a plan to turn my 13 hours left for the next 2 days into 2k miles. I seriously suck at working on recap. I need to do 34s every 6 days.

Last week was a good week. I guess my complaining did good. I had long runs until 2 days ago where I had 2 D&H and a live load. Still ended the day with 280 miles. In the last 6 days of this last week if say about 2200. I'd have to go back and check. The week before was my worst week at 1700. I still made about $580 for the week. Plus the first installment of my sign on bonus. That has been my worst week. I will say I've talked to a handful of new guys not making over $500 a week on a good week. I don't know the difference. Do I have a good DBL? Am I able to set my ETA and NAT better? Route planning? I'm really not sure. I'm not trying to boast. 89% of my deliveries are on time. My DBL said that's great for a new person. Most are below 50% until they get the hang of it. There are a couple of things that are bringing my efficiency down. But now I know how to work the system thanks to this group. Fuel stops and TAH are what's bringing me down. But my DBL said that the beginning of the month I was training and it will be adjusted to driving at the end of the month and will bring that up. He said my idle was at 98%. He said it can be improved to 100% if I idle less at deliveries or live loads. Suggesting I use the lounge. He hasn't seen most of them. Some don't exist. Lol I'm not worried about 2% anyway.

I'll look into my exact miles this week. I need to keep track of it better. Anyone have a way they track it?

I'm running out of hours. I've got 4:20 left for tomorrow. Was trying to make it home for a reset. I'm going to be short though. I'm 5 hours out. I guess I'm going to shut down early and wake up at midnight to deliver my load then go to OC. Hopefully they allow deliveries 24 hours.

I ran out of food so I indulged in a Mexican restaurant half mile away from the pilot. Good thing I walked because I'm going to have to work done of this off. If you're in Franklin KY I highly suggest El Patrero. Wow. Awesome food. I love food. One of my vices. All cultures.
