They won't forgive hitting things during training.

2 hours after SQT you can high hook then hit two trailers and 4 yellow poles pulling out of the yard and Schneider will work with you.

There was a guy in training with me at Carlisle who ran head on into one of those concrete barriers when he was backing. I guess he put it in 2nd instead of reverse. He cracked the grill, bent the bumper in and cut a tire. The truck had to be towed the 500 feet from the training yard to the shop. Schneider passed him after his 2nd attempt at the SQT. I was in shock when they passed him

I would love to see what his record looks like now. I've never been in the Carlisle training yard (they wouldn't let me in to work with a student LOL) so I'm not positive about spacing but even if you put the truck in the wrong gear you shouldn't move more than 6 inches before you figure it out and stop. If you're withing 2 feet of an object in most of our training yards you've ####ed up big time.

If it's the same one they use when your truck is in the Carlisle shop, it's the Sleep Inn off I-81 x47. Great room, great breakfast, great pool. It's currently my favorite "Schneider" hotel.

OK, haven't posted for a couple days. The hotel wifi isn't that great. Well, non existent for me. My roommate can connect. I can't. I get a couple bars in the room.

Anywho, yesterday was first "official day" as a Schneider employee. Did a little driving. Learned to skip shift and bump and run. I picked up pretty good. The clutch in this truck is different from others. Took a bit to get used to how high it let off at. I think that was my biggest down side. I'm used to shifting on the lower side of the RPMs so it'll take a day or two to get accustomed to 13k or 15k. Just a couple things different than what I've been trained.

Good news. I didn't hit anything. Everyone's alive. And all contents of my trailer (nothing but air) arrived safely!!!

Today it is on to backing.

I think you might be over revving it a bit at 13k lol.
