It's sad that you have to go through so much for something that you can be held responsible for on THEIR truck.
I second taking it to Obetz

I'd say have Atlanta fix it and don't move truck until it's fixed.
gentleroger and Waggledaddy Thank this. -
Ok, this is getting crazy. I insisted they fix it. They refused again. A driver behind me said he has been driving for 35 years (whatever that's worth) and he said it is legal. I talked to the DBL and he said that it is legal as well. He advised me to make sure that they have noted it on my truck in the system and that in case there is an issue, the complaint is on file. So, I don't know.....
-
If it's legal then why the need to document?
I'd tell the dbl you want it in writing they will pay any and all fines or tickets as well as give you written authorization to drive it as is so you can show DOT that you wanted it fixed they were too cheap to fix it.gentleroger and Waggledaddy Thank this. -
If you don't stand your ground Everytime they can they'll trample you.... you're just another steering wheel holder in their system.
Waggledaddy Thanks this. -

I know what I would have done and it would be already fixed by now. -
And talking to a dbl?? Does your dbl ride along with you?? How would they know if it's legal or not??
Don't answer, this is a company issue.
I wouldn't last a week being a company driver.spyder7723 and TennMan Thank this. -
Believe it or not it wasn't always this outrageous for a company driver.
Schneider once cared about the drivers now they ONLY care about the dollars.Home_on_wheels Thanks this. -
Agreed, nothing like it was back in 1989.
TennMan Thanks this.
