Hey some of that might be a good time. Or is it history repeating itself? Not old enough for the 60’s and 70’s.

This group of people had 2 incomes to buy more house than needed, bought new cars on credit as soon as old ones were paid for and spent less time with their children than tv and computers......

They should avoid overusing antibiotics, eat red meat no more than three times per week, wear condoms and avoid binge drinking, the country's largest cancer research organization said.

So they want you to live like a square? Must be a bunch of Catholics running the cancer organization.

And what fun is that. I mean the condom thing if they said we have to many #### dum dums already don’t need any more is understand that. Red meat is good, if it doesn’t have all the antibiotics and steroids. They say eat more fish and chicken then eat all veggies how’s that working out now.

If I had a dollar for every time, the establishment tells me one thing is bad for me and will kill me and then five years later we find out it’s actually good for us. I’d be rich. Eat margarine and not butter, eat fake sugar, and not real sweets, Don’t eat things like avocados, eggs will kill you, the list goes on and on. All those things mentioned above are now considered Superfoods. Red meat, if it’s organic or pasture raised is about the healthiest thing you can eat on the planet. It’s full of nutrients and minerals and micro nutrients ,if upu had nothing but a nice juicy steak every night and nothing else versus eating a huge bowl of spinach every night and nothing else, you’d be 300 times healthier eating the red meat and then you would the bowl of spinach. Although spinach is good for you as well, but the point being red meat has all the nutrients in it Your body needs. Real butter and natural fats are good for you! If you’re gonna eat sweets, eat real sugar. Or sweeteners made from fruits. In moderation.

Chemicals, processed foods, unneeded vaccines, over medicating, lack of fresh air and moving your body is what is killing people. Give your body what it needs, and it will do the rest. You don’t have to be a superhuman, just maintain yourself, put your body in balance and the machine that it is will do what it’s supposed to.

cancer is big business in this country. They don’t want it cured.

    Condoms prevent mini vans
Red meat is not very good for people that aren't very active. But life itself is not kind to them either

Coffee is another. 1st, it's bad, then good, then bad again, only to be determined, it actually can improve your health.:biggrin_25526:
Just one thing that should be mentioned, while cancer hasn't been "cured", many improvements have been made. In 2000, my sister died of a brain tumor. They told us straight out, we are in uncharted waters, and not much we can do, except, what we learn may help someone in the future. There was little solace in that, but true. There's no question, people, in general, are living longer. I have a couple "residents" here that are 90+, and still coherent, many in their 80s, so there is merit to our system, and you want to live, it will cost ya'. My only hope, is these price gouging drug companies and doctors, live to be old enough for a taste of their own medicine,,:biggrin_25525:, and yes, for the record, we had a lot of fun, "ruining" our health.

All of my Grandparents, including their brothers and sisters, that didn't die in accidents or wars, lived well into their 90s and a few made it past 100. They were definitely meat eaters. Very few of them died of heart trouble or cancer.
They ate meat every day, sometimes with every meal. Almost all the meat was home grown or hunted. No preservatives, no growth hormones, no feed laced with antibiotics. Well water, river water, alfalfa, clover, natural grass, and mother's milk was all the butcher animals got. Maybe a little corn but not much.
We ate a lot of venison, elk, turkey, ducks, salmon, clams, and halibut.
My family still eats like that. The only difference is that now we freeze our extra meat instead of canning, smoking, or drying it.
I wish I'd paid more attention to how the Elders smoked meat. I've been trying for years and I still can't get it as good as they did.

I'll second that! As a child, I never appreciated when my grandparents would gather all my aunts and uncles for a week of butchering. They'd do a couple pigs and usually a beef. Many great memories were made in those days. Too bad I was only a single digit midget at the time, and didn't care to be involved. My Grandpa would take the bacon and hams and salt cure them, then smoke them. Seemed like too much work to me but man that was good eating!

On another note, my grandmother ate bacon and eggs with a cup of coffee every morning for breakfast. Her favorite snack was molasses on butter bread. Probably not the best for your health, but She lived to be 96 and died of natural causes they say. Never had cholesterol issues or high blood pressure either.
