I'll be leaving my 1'st driving job in the trucking industry after a period of 6 to 8 months. Will I find it difficult to transition into a second company(in the las vegas area) with a poor record of employment?

Any recommendations for a person such as myself with 6 to 8 months of experience looking for work in the Vegas area?

    Please Advise.

My advice....don't quit a job until you have another lined up. I don't think you'll have trouble finding work. Start poking around and see what you come up with

Can you elaborate on poor record of employment and why you are leaving your current employer?

dont focus on the past too much focus on how it is now but may want to try and ride it out with your current company for the 1 year mark and more doors will be open for u

I'm with everyone else.just how bad is your work history and whatever you do,don't just up and quit your job untill you for sure have another one. When you do find another possible job,put in a leave of absence from your current employer untill you know you for sure have a job.

no one will touch you other then a major fleet justlike the one you are working at now. and they will treat you the same way as your being treated now. so make due with the job you have now for atleast 2 1/2 more years. the problems you are having with finances and your job. is the same problem every one else is having. just do what i do. call it obamunisum. in socailist economy such as ours. the people don't make enough money. most weeks they don't make enough to eat on. so stay with your job. one day soon obama will be out and another will be in office. by then the economy will be much better. and getting a better paying job will be easier.

I'm not quite sure I fully follow what advice you are looking for? Are you asking for once you have 6-8 months driving experience what your options are? Or do you currently have 6-8 months driving experience? Because according to your posts on the website Over the past week or so, you have made numerous threads/posts about looking for a company to train you, and just a couple days ago posted that you just barely got your cdl permit recently.
