Having the dog does help a lot with loneliness. I carried my Beagle-Border collie mix for years.

I hope you know to ignore what recruiters & company web pages "promise" about their job. They are car salesmen not your partner in picking the right employer.

Also I hear Prime does not force you into leases, they may endlessly describe how great it will be but they only ask once and the accept your answer. Ladies may have a choice between waiting weeks & weeks to get a female trainer or train with a man now. There are very few women trainers anywhere.

Thank you for that advice. I have a family member that my dog can stay with for now.

My living situation for the past 5 years has been couch to couch. On and off with my brother.

I can't afford housing, I am currently living in a closet at my brother's house.

I have tried to get housing assistance through the state and there is a long waiting list plus the way I see it, there are people in the streets that could use the help more than I can.

I see this as my ticket to be out on my own.

A ticket to prove to myself I can do it and see the country.

Get a job that runs coast-to-coast and you can live in the truck. Many drivers do this so they can bank most of their pay. DOT won't let you live in the truck & no pets allowed. Good outfit though, other than that.

From what I have seen Prime offers a training program to get a CDL, all you need is the Learners Permit.

How thorough is the training program?

From what I’ve seen and experienced with Prime..not too thorough..somewhere I got video of them sideswiping my truck.

And another that ran his trailer down the side of mine..then took off like a coward.

Prime is the worst of the worst and I’d rather drive a KIA delivering pizza than drive for them.

####, that's wild. What do carriers would you recommend as far as getting a CDL through a company?

Had she'd have just renewed her DOT physical before the expiration date, she wouldn't have been required to surrender the license. She doesn't have any other choice but to start over.
