My company leases Ryder trucks and we are now in 2013 Prostars, I have had a vibration/shake between 60-65 mph, since truck was new. Comes and goes, but is worse when empty, or with light load. Felt as if it was the drive tires. Started out thinking tires were balanced incorrectly. Bridgestone says their tires if mounted correctly, should not be balanced. Tires were mounted correctly, so we removed all the weights, no difference. Still leaning towards tires, we replaced drives and rims with good used, no difference. Navistar says to replace suspension leveling valve. replaced that, no difference. Suspension height seems to be different every time it is checked, has been from 2 1/4" - 4 1/4". Bobtail seems to have little if any vibration. I have been pulling same three trailers for ten years, no vibration until this truck. I'm now at 13500 miles and vibration is driving me nuts. Any suggestions? We have 3 or 4 trucks with same problem.

Good luck with that we have ryder trucks too and they suck. Well at least at my home shop. Our apus always are broke and countless other issues our lease is up soon and we are going back to Penske can't wait.

If it is in the drives you will usually feel that in the seat. Is that where you feel it? They may have to place the rear drives up on jack stands and run the truck up to speed and watch the tires to see if there is any out of round. You will see the tires going up and down as they spin. You may have a hub that was machined a bit smaller and doesn't properly center the rims on it. The wheels will get bolted up slightly off center and will spin out of round and cause this. This also would explain why changing to a different set of rims and tires did not correct anything.

I feel the vibration in the seat first, then it gets worse and the whole truck shakes. Feel it in the steering wheel, not shimmying, just the whole truck shaking. Talked to the boss this morning, going back to old Columbia and gonna let him and mechanic have the truck until something is figured out.

Ive had nothing but problems with my ryder lease truck. Its an 07 columbia. Its been in the shop more then on the road. From what my boss said theres about 10 in the fleet which are constantly in the shop. Ive had several turbo issue related problems, front shaking, rears constantly out of alignment. Ryder still wont yet replace unit after shop mechanics and my people complained about it!

i have posted another thread on this site about having Poison Ivy on the road. I would rather deal with that than have to deal with ryder. I m in the same boat you are dmp they are worthless never fix anything when asked to. I also have an 07 columbia.

Did u fix the problem, and if "Yes" - how?
I have '07 International 9400i and same thing is happening to me lately. At first it was only one or two times... since this friday - all the time when I drive between 55-65. Did check the driveline, no movements in u-joints, front pins are ok, no heat coming out of the bearings.wheels after driving, drive tires have only like 10k miles on, steers only like 3-5k.
So, did u fix the problem?
    Thanks in advance!
