I actually started the thread wondering about the 60/7 but kinda wondered into saving time. Sorry for the confusion. I simply get tired of trying to figure out the best way to save hours and reading this I realize I can go 70/8

personally I think the 70/8 is better than the 60/7, but would like to at least see it go, on a daily bases, 11/14 off for 10 consecitive, forget the 70 in 8 days, with p/u's and del. fuel perchuses, never be able to get this every day with out cheating your log, but wont have to worry about running out of time on your log toward the end of the week, ask how many LEO's have part time job and how many hours they work a 7 day week, if they are fitigued and make a bad judgement call, they carry a firearm

You don't have to wink. At the end of the day you have to be pretty close to the speed limit anyway. Rounding can help somewhat but really, it doesn't matter how much time you spend off duty......if your log shows you have driven 1000 miles in 11 hours you have a problem.
