610k miles....PM Ideas

    2012 Cascadia DD15....10 speed....Deleted

    I've had for 2 1/2 years.....had 474k when I bought it......I do local work.

    Any ideas on what to change or look at maintenance wise?

    This is what I've done the past year:

    Carrier bearing
    Fuel pump
    Water pump
    Clutch....Eaton
    High pressure fuel line

    Outside of that....I do the routine oil and filter changes.

    ***The past few oil changes....they said I've had metal in the fuel filter.*** So I'm thinking of draining fuel tanks for starters.

    Outside of fixing minor leaks, tires, brake chamber, and other minor things.....that's all I've done to truck.

    Haven't changed any belts or sensors yet....let me know what you would do at this stage?

    If you have not touched your axle oils back there or your transmission oils etc (If there was any to pour...)

    Now would be the time to get into it to understand where you are. My old Tahoe is coming up to300K roughly and it's time for me to look over the axles, transfer case and so on, even though he knows there is one in there already.

    I know that I am talking about a gasoline vehicle that really has nothing to do with very heavy 18 wheelers, however it IS a very HIGH mileage vehicle and as such is a fine example of steel on steel.

    you can get a 3 box change at speedco for like $400 or so

    It is time to change the harmonic balancer on the front of the crankshaft.

    The big question is: Where's the metal in the fuel filter coming from? Does no good to clean out the tanks if you don't find the source of the metal.

    Air filter, def filter, water filter, air dryer cartridge, cabin filters, maybe an egr tune-up.

    Get an oil analysis right away. Find out if that metal is coming from inside your engine.
