    My outfit here just bought an 815 compactor in Dallas. Maybe you could haul it out? That would be a good pic, you loading a compactor in shorts & flipflops.

    We are a ypung company. Consequently we dont leave much of anything to chance. 60k load gets 4 - 3/8 chains and 4 1/2". If its got a bucket /attachment it gets an additional ratchet strap or binder. Last thing I / we need is a conversation, or a ticket with CHP or DOT.

    We dont make the rules, we just get fined for them.

    I own this forklift, which weighs roughly 61k. I would like to know how to properly secure it with 3/8 inch chains. I am not going to say how I do it because a) I do not want to get flamed and b) I want to hear your own suggestions. I made perhaps 20 or so trips with it and never was stopped, but I want to do it properly and safely. I am in IL.
