I hate this with 65 mph trucks, in my opinion all it's about is not wanting to be the driver that has to slow down for someone else because if you're both governed to the same speed the truck behind will need to slow down. I got stuck behind a PTI papershaker the other day for 5 minutes waiting for him to get around some other guy going 65 mph and it was frustrating
68mph……??

Tempers will rise, frustration will mount, road rage will increase, shots will be fired, chances will be taken, but it's OK, it will all be done in the name of safety.

My record is 89 miles with two morons governed at 65 side by side. Me and about 80 other dudes on the CB plus an unknown number of 4 wheelers likely wanted to drag both drivers out and beat them within an inch of their lives.
This law is moronic on a level about equal with attempting to have sexual relations with a wood chipper and is likely going ti have about the same bloody result -
Ah, I read the top part and then scrolled down and saw 2003. That’s my poor comprehension for you.JoeyJunk, Siinman, Oxbow and 1 other person Thank this.

Ya , but with ev trucks they’ll be able to do 68 up all hills too….
Siinman Thanks this. -
The Teamsters and the safety nazis are pushing for 60 mph. The ATA, 65 mph. FMCSA probably leaked that 68 mph figure to see what the reaction from everyone would be.
Unfortunately, I think that they will go with the group that spends the most $$$ lobbying, the ATA at 65 mph. They have said that the final rule will be published this year. We shall see. -
Im looking forward to all the new regulations when truck crashes. Accidents, road rage violence vandalism costs and everything else go haywire /sJoeyJunk, Siinman, Oxbow and 1 other person Thank this.
