Even more than that... Most hybrid/electric vehicles have a mode that simulates engine braking, and start the energy capture even before the brake pedal is touched. It can be programmed to be quite aggressive depending on the application, and can greatly reduce the amount of braking by the physical brakes.

I didn’t wire it myself, a top local mechanic did. What was told to me was he cut into the ground from the data port to the ecm and ran it thru the switch. He demonstrated it with cat et 2-3 times for me and it worked slick as ….

I'm just a company driver, what di-- Oh for crying out loud! Done. I'm already a slow right-lane driver at 64mph but more congestion from the dingbats and turban suburbans would really make this more of a PITA than it already is....
