Even more than that... Most hybrid/electric vehicles have a mode that simulates engine braking, and start the energy capture even before the brake pedal is touched. It can be programmed to be quite aggressive depending on the application, and can greatly reduce the amount of braking by the physical brakes.

I'd like to hear more about your spare switch. I really don't have any intention on making any changes to my ECM. I cruise at 64 and that's good enough for me, but if I want it, the extra power is there.

 

I didn’t wire it myself, a top local mechanic did. What was told to me was he cut into the ground from the data port to the ecm and ran it thru the switch.

He demonstrated it with cat et 2-3 times for me and it worked slick as ….

 

I did, directly.....crickets

 

They haven't thought of the four wheeler reaction to this.
This rule will cause them to be even more reckless trying to get around slower trucks
