Was a little concerned about Californians invading my space after seeing an article about Omaha and des moines being a techie destination and Google and facebook building data centers in council bluffs and Papillon Nebraska.
But haven't noticed anything out of the normal idiocy there ...although a nice apartment with a garage will set you back at least 1200.00 a month now ...the days of a 100k house in a decent area are over and upscale condos downtown in the 900k range are there .
Forget about anything nice for under 200k in a decent area ....a bargain for a Californian I'm sure .
Dont come here for the weather tho ! Cause it hot and humid as hell in the summer and cold and humid in the winter along with windy icy and snowy .but not as bad as north Dakota lol.
Inner city Omaha also has a high violent crime rate that reaches out and has some the midwest's worst drivers .
Please dont move here ! Lol.

 

Last I seen CA was up near 40mil on population so those who left are barely a drop in the bucket. But hell more work for me!

691 Thousand might have left but there is a sucker born everyday too. We had a guy move from Indiana only lasted 6 months and another has moved in from Michigan. I told him when I seen him, well welcome to the jungle brother. He was like you ain't kidding people here are nuts. Lol

 

Yup and 80 degree weather in November along with the smell of brush fires in the morning.
