It cleans up as boost builds. at close to sea level it barely smokes when taking off and shifting gears. at 4-5000 ft its pretty black.

Usually sensors only throw codes when they have a voltage or ground issue. If they are just reading wrong to begin with but within specs of the system no codes, good way to see things like that is in the data list on then scan tool being used
