What rpm do you guys upshift, downshift and cruise at with your 6nz? I have an 18 speed I usually upshift at 1500, downshift at 1200, running hills with 100k plus I usually keep it between 1400 and 1700

I'd think 1400 down and 1600 up woukd perform a lot better with that engine

The 6nzs ive run kiked 1400-1600 pretty good, 1250 and under was too slow, 1700+ was just wasting fuel (uphill heavy could be its own thing, my current 6ts with its gearing and trans needs 18-1850 sometimes). I got comfortable with 1350, engine seemed happiest cruising at that rpm, lowest noise, best mpg

Fuel shutoff should be 2150, I’ve pulled some heavy stuff with yellow motors and much below 1400 rpm the pyro likes to start going the other way

That's how it was when I hauled construction equipment, start getting upwards of 180k+ really starts to show what the engine likes, always kept it between 1500 and 1900

I do about the same usually like to cruise around 1300-1400 shift around 1500. I watch the hell out of the pyro though, she gets hot in a hurry below 1400 or so. But 90% of the time I am cruising right around that. Wind is the game changer fighting a headwind or 3/4 wind and I will keep it in a gear to stay above 1500 to keep the temps down

Depends, I usually upshift around 1700. Cruise and pull grades at 1500 and not much below. 3.58 gears and 22.5. I do alot of stop and go and still manage 5.7 mpg
