    Hey all.
I am currently running a 3 axle truck and a 2 axle RGN with a flip. I can haul up to about 65,000 lb payload and I weigh 42,000 lbs empty.
I am considering purchasing a 4 axle truck to increase my capability, but I was thinking maybe the 80,000 lb trailer may limit my payload. Shouldn't the trailer limit exceed the axle limit? Would it make sense? Or, would the trailer have to be changed to maybe 110,000?

    Thanks in advance!

Good question. I'll have to check and get back on that.

That's king pin to the neck, right?

    It's 84". You thinking it's not enough for a 4 axle truck?

I'm tired and I have a splitting headache, short answer? No 84" is no where near enough, if your interested and can handle frank conversation I'll elaborate later.

84 inches is 7 ft. The 2 drive axles and the lift axle are going to be 9 ft. And that’s just the tires, meaning, you need space for the bobtails frame/rgn ramps, headache rack...etc... to turn without binding up in the trailer.

Forgot to mention, if you cant slide the fifth wheel forward enough to get weight on the steers with the lift axle down, you failed.

And all you then do is take weight off of the steer axle - nothing like having 9k on the steer
