I got a protein IV yesterday at a Chinese hospital and felt great the next morning. Next morning, jumped out of bed as if I was 20 again. Yeah, it wears off, without exercise. Most people here get the IV twice a week. Don't know what the IV cost in USA.
They pig out on fresh vegatables and fish and pork. Not big on potatoes like I am. Amazing though they eat very healthy fresh foods, then get drunk on wine. Rare to see anyone overweight. Never see anyone with the diabetes protruding belly, even though diabetes is prevalent. Vegetables in restuarants are fresh from open air markets, no canned goods at all in restuarants. The fish they cook is live, in most cases, just before cooking. Edit: Lots of old people in their 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's that don't need glasses to read. Many young student do need glasses now due to advanced classes beginning in first grade. Lots of extra, after school, classes by tutors or night classes and weekend classes, studying science, English, Mathmatics.
Mercury is in virtually all fish worldwide. The worst part is the fish that most people like to eat tend to have the higher levels of Mercury, this is why most health recommendations now have reduced the frequency for consuming fish. Tuna for example is usually suggested no more than twice a week.
Yeah. I've always wondered about other regions and cultures whose diets are heavy with fish, if they had asmuch concern as we do here
