As long as he is under the 100 mile rule he doesnt need to keep to the 11 hour rule. For that matter he may drive up to 14 hours per day. Most construction companies only want you to work M-F and a half day Saturday when the goings good.
Be grateful you even have a job! -
Think you should understand this. If the driver does not return to the normal work reporting location within 12 consecutive hours and released, he will need a log book for the entire day.

Or.........you drop the "1st" day and you dont have to do all that math, if you have been bumping your 70
-
Ok, let's make it simple. 10 hours each day. After 7 days that is 70 hours. Now at the beginning of the 8th day I drop the first day and have 10 hours available on the 8th day? That would be 70 in 7, not 70 in 8.
-
That's pretty much it - should have posted "midnight" rather than "morning" though.
If you're doing 10 hour days, 7 days straight - you don't have much left for no. 8. One way to get a day off! OTOH, if you are on 70/8, and they want you to work at all on that 8th day... it certainly can't be driving. -
-
Dont know about you..... But I would much rather park it on the 8th day and take that 34. I almost could sleep that 34 when tired enough.
