just starting to restore my old 1975 W900 KW...Problem started when I took the old batterys and exchanged them for new ones....OK, I don't mark the way they came out BAD MOVE
Maybe someone can help....On the left is the selenord with 2 battery leads...on the right is 2 shutoff switchs, one going to the starter then to a battery post and the other switch to a battery post, but not sure were it go's from there..all was well when I turned the two switchs on ..as well when I turn the key on (buzzer and low air red warning light came on...but when I hit the starter switch that's when the fireworks started..blow half the post off one battery...so something must be wrong...Any advice would be great...thanks

Sorry no one has been here, at your convenience, to help you(who mucked up?).
Hopefully the members were enjoying their turkey.
Only a guess on my part, i assume you are refering to a series/parallel switch?

Maybe someone with more than 32 years of experience, can stop by your place, at your convenience, and install your batteries, for you.Last edited: Nov 23, 2012

Is it possible that your truck was built with a Positive Ground ...If so when you hook it up you will be in trouble ...Sorry i cant picture the way a 76 k-100 was wired ( i used to work on it)
