Different doesn't always mean useful. Not sure what he was going for there, a built 6.7 Cummins would be more power, more reliable and bolt in lol

Truck looks stupid with the semi truck tires & rims, and I've never understood why anyone would buy a truck only to spend money making the thing utterly useless. Trucks are supposed to be able to haul stuff, and if you cut holes in the bed to run your exhaust, relocate your batteries back there because there's no room under the hood with a ridiculously huge engine for a small truck, or anything else that would render the truck useless for the chores a truck was intended to be used to do, then what's the point in having a truck? Unless you've got a stepside bed and can run the stacks OUTSIDE of the bed, stacks look stupid. Unless you've upgraded the axles, suspension, brakes, and frame to handle the weight rating you get with the semi truck tires, you're adding a LOT of unsprung rotating mass, so it'll ride like crap, accelerate like a snail, and increase stopping distance. Then, the bigger engine probably has more torque than the OEM transmission, so unless that too was upgraded to a medium duty transmission, it'll probably leave the driver of that truck stuck somewhere waiting for a hook...especially if they attempt to use it like a truck.

It was a waste of money to build the thing.

Looks like Sportchassis builds custom 4x4 Freightliners.

Sometimes I think too much engine is better than not enough engine for better fuel mileage.

...but if the transmission can barely handle the smaller engine, it won't be up to the task behind the bigger engine. Same with the axles. When you put the bigger, heavier wheels and tires on adding all that extra rotating mass, and you've got a bigger engine forcing the issue, won't be hard to snap an axle if the axles aren't strong enough...especially if you hook to a trailer to try pulling anything.

    rabbiporkchop and Terry270 Thank this.

I'd prefer this ride myself. One day when I have enough room (and a shop) I'm gonna build myself something crazy like this.

    rabbiporkchop and Terry270 Thank this.

I love anything Cummins, but that is ridiculous. Give me an old school mechanical 5.9 liter 12-valve any day.

    rabbiporkchop Thanks this.
