For all darn headaches these new trucks cause with egr, dpf, scr and stupid economy tunes @ super low rpm they should be seeing way more than 8mpg. Running light loads all highway miles with 4.42s i still get 6.6-6.9 @65. My dad runs 60-62 with the 93 and 3.91s and gets 8.1-8.3

Keep it up engineers your doing awesome/sarcasm

I drove deadhead from Vegas to NorCal with my new T680 and trailer. My mpg averaged 10.6 at 60 mph. I'm still not sure if I believe it.

I pushed over 15 close to 20 at times downgrade eastbound at the Kansas Colorado line with a frontal storm passage pushing on the rig with greater than 70 mph winds off my 7 o' clock on the trailer like a sail. Broke 20 a couple times over that 100 miles or so. Had the century computer repeating the milege per gallon in near real time 5 second timing repeating.

    I’m surprised my 99 Classic w/ 12.7 265 wb weighed 18400 w/half tanks. Current Classic 2000 w/ 285 wb 18700 / half tanks Full tanks still under 20 k ( no apu) Detroit’s quite a bit lighter than a Cat don’t know about Cummins

Tractors have gotten too heavy for their own good.

Used to be we could take 48K into a great dane reefer and just about gross it with fuel.

Im hearing that today's tractors have gotten obese.

That will go up probably. I believe it. That 16 Cascadia I just aquired got almost 13 pulling an empty when I went to get it.

My current 2015 Cascadia with a dd15/10 speed manual can get 8mpg if Im not to heavy. But My average is in the range of 7.5 to 8.

My previous truck a 2018 Cascadia with the dd15/12 speed auto would easily hit the 8mpg mark @ 60 and Id often see 9mpg. It wasn't uncommon for me to average 8.5 for a week.

If you are talking deadhead both could easily do 10mpg
