Iv got an 82 peterbilt 359 with 3406b cat in I'm having problems with low air buzzer and the low air switch. The low air switch is brand new and so is the buzzer. Both the wires coming off of the low air switch are hot and doesn't change when the air pressure is up or down. I can unplug one wire coming off the low air switch and apply ground to the other side of the buzzer and the buzzer works but doesn't shut off. Does anyone know where i could possible get a wiring diagram??? Iv looked on Google and can't find one or can someone tell me where might be the other low air switch would be considering that it's a split system. Thanks.

You are right ground one side of the buzzer. you should have power to one side of the low air switch only, when the pressure drops to 60 the switch makes contact inside and sends power to the buzzer. Pressure raises and switch becomes open again breaking the circuit. sounds to me they gave you the wrong switch.

Could it be possible another switch on the air block since it's a split system?? The wires that iv got and the ones I think that are right are red with a yellow tracer and green with light green tracer the red being the ign-voltage. Would them be the right wires??

My 85 and 86 only have one. There are so many extra wire in the dash it could be that they have two seperate power circuits run to it. Color isn't as important as wire number. Just trace the power in you should only have one power in

Right. I don't really know which number they are iv been looking for diagrams I can't find any at all. They darn sure don't let that crap out that's for sure. So that red and yellow wire and the green and light green both go to that low air switch?? I don't know much bout trucks at all I'm just kinda learning on my own as I go.

Are the wires coming from the low air switch the same ones that go to the low air buzzer?

yes the light and buzzer come on together. So they share a circuit

Is there supposed to be voltage on one side of the low air switch and nothing on the other side of the switch?? If so I think I may have a faulty switch cause iv got voltage on both sides of the switch and it doesn't change when it builds air above 60psi.

Thank you very much. On that diagram page one it's showing 2 low air pressure switches.???
