just a quick update for the thread. got the new front fenders installed new cab lights and a new 13" visor. video on the cab lights and visor should be up sometime this weekend. i originally had not planned on putting those things on till after it was painted but figured it would probably be better. in case i drill something wrong. plus was able to draw lines and marks on the roof without having to worry about it laying it out. wont take long to take all that stuff back off so i think it was worth while to go ahead and do that. plus it looks more like a truck again till im ready to take it all apart. it looked funny to me with a bare roof and no visor.

It's expensive but worth every penny. I did my suburban and it's awesome. The ac will freeze you out and it's silent now. It was crazy at first driving down the highway and not hearing the normal road noises from tires, cracks in the road etc. My only concern with doing on a rig would be the weight, it's really heavy. To do a whole cab and sleeper I could see it adding 200lbs, I don't know if that's enough for anyone to have to worry about but I figured it's worth mentioning.

    6000 dollars maybe.

But you need to look at that frame first before anything.

Not bad on the pete. Not bad.

Ive worked on my Tahoe which is not as big as a suburb... however the backseat is gone and there is room to put a fridge to move it here or there if need be. Or use it as a sleeper or whatever. Ive got a long way to go on mine. Been working or chipping at it rather for 6 years. Just replaced the one powersteering high side line a couple of days ago. Wrench sprayed everything to make it so that if the low side leaks I'll know quick.

It is tired, but everything is still that American steel, something I can work with. If it was plastic etc forget it.

I understand the weight is what stops the noise.
