You need to find another line of work.
Your going crazy over nothing.
If there's no freaking loads, there's no freaking loads.
There doing the best they can to put some money
In your pocket.
They don't make a penny either when you're sitting.
In fact it cost them more money because you still
Have to idle or run a APU all day.
You ain't happy quit, nobody in that office is
Gonna care one bit. That's real world.
They'll probably be glad, so they don't have to hear
You complaining anymore.
Trucking has ups and downs, were in a down right now.
Your immaturity in this industry shows.
OTR companies never do layoffs or furloughs.
They never pay unemployment.
They know you and enough other drivers will
Quit as the miles go down. Works every time.
The choice is yours.
Quit and roll the dice on another job,
Find a hobby to kill time until things pick back up.
One or the other.
I can tell you from years of experience,
Your constant complaining and threatening
To quit doesn't do anything but piss them
Off and get you even less miles.
They don't care about you,
My company doesn't care about me,
None of these big companies care about any of us.
We're all interchangeable and replaceable.
That means your free to leave and seek
Greener pastures.
You'll learn not to fight these companies,
They never change to make drivers happy.
They do what's best for them.
868 mile load 4 days to get it there?

More money or more miles or your quitting.
Then go clean your truck out and look for
Another job.
If I were your dispatcher,I'd give you 1200
Miles a week until you quit, your not
Worth the headache -
You're
scott180 and staceydude Thank this. -
Wow it is good some of u dont run a company .. The guy has a legitimate complaint.. Hes out here to make money and hes not making any .. So he voices his concern with dispatch and other ppl in the company.. We need more ppl like that in this industry rather than ppl who just bend over and take watever bs the company is shoving up ur rear end....
Cattleman84, scott180, Gliding ProStar and 4 others Thank this. -

Not to bust anyones cajones or make a ruckus, but OP, it's trucking. I have been in your shoes. I can almost guarantee you your company isn't going to pay you layover pay when you delivered the load earlier than you were supposed to. Most companies even that do pay layover pay somewhere in the fine print is *not paid on weekends, or my personal favorite not paid on a 34 hour reset. Deliver the load, enjoy your free time you will have to do what you want and hopefully Monday they will get you a load quick.
gentleroger and lovesthedrive Thank this. -
I know I keep saying it but..local, hourly. hope y’all are having a good weekend. Keep on truckin!

You know how you occasionally see posts from someone who wants to be a driver, but wants to go straight from school to being an owner op? This is one of those learning experiences that will serve an potential owner op well. Thing is, you usually only learn it as a company driver. Your first impulse may be to go to slacker mode, but @Chinatown told you correct, you executed and it paid off. Well done sir.Cattleman84 and G13Tomcat Thank this.
