That was not gunfire, they were uh..... celebrating with vigor. :biggrin_25523:

I had some neighbors like that many years ago, 9 in the house. On a dark stormy night a big green bus pulled up and took them on a trip far far away.

Yea...thats the problem in my area right now dont matter who has the load I'm looking at 150-200 miles just to find freight paying 2.00/mile before deadheading. I had a load 116 miles from dropoff and Id eat the deadhead over there to ND to get out. Beats the hell out of 1.20 before deadhead with a tarp. Valley NE is a no pickup zone right now. Its all gone to hell. I wanted that texas load but by the time i made sure the roads were good it was gone. 2150 no tarp on 925 miles deadhead included 0 miles deadhead for my next. Pickup i hate this winter crap where's my 65 degree days with sunshine.

You can always spend a day getting loaded at Menards in Valley. And they act like you should be sending them Sherries Berries as a thank you gift for letting you haul it.

A day getting loaded hell you get out of there quick. Last time I was there everybody had been there more than 4.5 hours and they werent even half loaded. The steel mill was turning out one truck every 2 hours and I had 3 trucks in front of me. Said screw it and left. Dont pay enough to mess with and the rates keep getting worse and worse out there. Like I said no pickup zone. Be nice if everybody quit going there. Be nice if the FMCSA would make them get their crap together too but we know that'll happen after hell freezes over.

I don't go into ND for less than $4,000 from Chicago, $5,000 for WY and $6,000 for MT/WA/OR
