The truck is a 1992 fld120 with a N14 celect. Is the data link connector under the hood used for hooking up an eld to this truck? @pup

I know in the 99 fld with N14 the data link on the motor is the same as the one under dash.
I used paper log book . ELD required after 1999 model year of motor.Rideandrepair Thanks this. -
It also has a round plug near the ECU but I assume the dash harness is whats connected to it. There isnt a plug in the cab. The company I'm leased to requires the eld. That's the only reason I'm even trying to figure it out.Rideandrepair Thanks this.

Call a dealer, they might help.
Rideandrepair Thanks this. -
Some early electronic engines had a small connector in the cab. It looked more like a CB mic plug than a connector you are looking for. I have changed some of them over in Internationals.
Rideandrepair and Star Rider Thank this. -
Thanks for the reply. I'll look into that.Rideandrepair Thanks this.

So far the dealer has been no help.Rideandrepair and W923 Thank this.

Not trying to be difficult but are you certain it’s a celect and not a mechanical n14 in which case you’re sol. If it’s a celect there’s normally a plug under the dash but it’s smaller than the celect plus plug
Rideandrepair and Bean Jr. Thank this. -
It not mechanical. I'll prob be looking at another truck with the factor 525hp N14. This one is a 1998. From what your saying this should have a the bigger 6 or 9 pin plug?W923 Thanks this.

It will have a 6 the 9 came with the celect plus
The celect plus especially in freightliners had a 9 pin right by the air intake
