Need to repair the Engine (jake brake) brake. Wiring diagram or parts picture repair. Let some knucklehead work on it and now it's not working. I'm asking for my roommate.

What did they work on?I would start by checking to see if you are getting voltage at the pads through connconmector on the spaced player under valve cover there's two wires have someone rev it up with the jakes on let of the throttle see if your getting power.possible wires under valve cover came unplugged also check the clutch switch and the brake light switch

Thanks we'll do that. Not sure what the knucklehead worked on and my roommate is napping but I do appreciate your time and we'll let you know how it goes. Have a great day. Lisa

The engine brake works at the switch on the dash but it doesn't quit working when you rev it up or push on the clutch. You have to turn the switch off on the dash to get it to stop working. If you try to throttle it up it makes a horrible popping noise.
