    See video link.....

94' Freightliner FLD120 with series 60. I have two yellow lights, one that comes on and stays for a few seconds (far left on the dash) and one that briefly flickers (3rd light from the right). When the third light from the right flickers ( only on acceleration) the engine shuts down briefly but stays running....It's like you turn the ignition switch off and back on again. Each time this light flickers, it causes the far left yellow light to come on for about 5 seconds. Also during acceleration, the red water temp light flickers, but this only occurs during acceleration when the engine is under a load. The red light on the far right is of no concern......It's been like that for years, sometime it comes on sometimes it don't. I put the truck on the scanner and found no codes in the ECM. I took it to a buddy's shop and tried his scanner, and found no codes. I took the truck to the Freightliner dealer and they said that they were unable to check the truck because they did not have old enough software to even read the computer or any components. Can anyone tell me what the row of lights represent? ( The dealer didn't know) It seems like an electrical short somewhere shorting out the electrical systems but I checked all the harnesses and I cannot find any wires that are broken or rubbing. The problem IS NOT the low water sensor/light. I have had that issue before and this is different.
Could the module (where the row of lights are) cause this type of issue or the foot accelerator switch...??? Any ideas????

    Thanks

    Jeremy

where are your light covers that shows what the lights are for? the steady yellow should be the cel. the flickering one should be the sel,but those two are usually side by side.

the flickering hi temp and low air lights indicate a shot vigil light bar. i see your tach doesn't work either. i think you have multiple issues.

go to a detroit dealer and have them check the ecm. you have a ddec 2,possibly a ddec3, either of which is hardly an old dinosaur.
