    Hope this is in the right place. I am looking to purchase a 05 9400i. I currently drive the truck daily and have for about a year. It has just shy of a million on a C-15 twin turbo. I can get it for 9k. Any advice anyone can give me? I know the history pretty well. Boss says rods and mains would be good insurance in a few months.

    if you have been driving it for a year you probably know better than us if it is a good truck, 9k sounds like a good price. keep in mind it might need a in frame before long. what kind of oil consumption does it have?

    Oil is changed every 15k, uses about 2 gallon after 10k. I would probably change interval to 10k if purchased.

    A C-15 Cat is very expensive to re-build/replace. What will be it's duty ? Light ? Heavy ?

    I had a Cat 550hp twin turbo rebuilt last year. About $16,000. That was without replacing the turbos.
