There is a small fuse block mounted behind the instrument panel and to the right of the steering column. It can hold 4 fuses (mine has 3 inserted). Which circuits do they protect?

I remember reading the answer years ago but, I just went through all my wiring diagrams, Pete books and cat book and can't find where I read it.

    Can anyone help?

Josh, I have the same book for my VIN and I could have sworn that's where I read what the fuses were for but, I can't seem to find it.

I have a large print out of the supermiler link and I can't find it on there either. I don't think it is on there, I know the optional ammeter circuit isn't on there.

This fuse block is to the right of the steering column and, the relay is to the left.

The 5 prefused circuits are in the fuse box itself.

I'm going down to the truck today to see if i can physically get in there to read the tag numbers on the wires that go to this fuse block.

EDIT : I guess maybe E1 and E2 are in that small block because they aren't in the main fuse block. I can see the other end of E1, E2 in the engine compartment, they aren't being used for anything.

Pulled the dash and I have a bonafide first hand answer if anyone now or in the future needs it.

The 1st fuse starting from left is circuit 453(Cat 3176 power. Relay to fuse box) and 455(Cat 3176 ECM power, fuse block to ecm).

2nd is 453 and 454(Cat 3176 output sensor, fuseblock to sensors)

3rd is 220(fan clutch, water temp switch to solenoid) and A220

4th is 554(engine brake enable) and C554. Mine is empty (Jakes work fine though).

I'm guessing this is where the ECM fuse is in a 97 379. This little fuseblock is mounted to the dash extrusion right behind the factory clock.

I have a photo but Photobucket is down.
