98 kw w900 with cat

When I was building my 95 W9, tye local dealer printed off the wiring harness diagram under the hood, as well as the air lines in the frame rails.

Guy who printed it for me is married to my cousin, not saying that made any difference, but maybe he put out a little more effort…..?

 

there's places out there that make new harnesses for classic cars and such and I'm sure I've heard of them doing trucks too. can't think of the name. try google

Kenworth quoted me around 5k for the dash harness and fuse box a couple years ago. So I'm pretty sure they're still making them. That's pretty steep price so I stopped pursuing it.

They sell the blocks and rebuild kits for the box so you can rebuild it yourself. The wiring harness does have labels on the wires and they're also color coded so that should help you a little if you're ohming out one trying to find a break.

 

I don't know how much difference there will be between my 2003 W9 and your 98 but I have the wiring diagram for mine which you are welcome to if you want it.
