I have a 98 pete 379 3406e cat. I had a three axle alignment done. I was in the truck with it not running, and the next thing I hear is like a boom, then air starts leaking. The leveling rod came off the rubber gromet on the bottom, air was coming out of the line. When you move the rod up and down it is very loose. When they do an alignment do they take that off for some reason? And there is no air in the air bags. Does that mean that valve is no good?
Thanks appreciate the help.

You'll need a new valve. It's used to adjust air bag pressure.
-
you might need to buy new arm,1st ck for clamp on rubber rod being tight?
-
Probably just timing. They shouldn't have had to mess with the leveling valve.
Sounds like something got into the valve causing it to stick. Might be able to put it back together with no problems.
And sometimes they just go out.
I've yet to find a leveling valve to last for a long time without leaking. I've actually had new ones leak 1-2 months down the road. -
Thanks everyone for the help.
