99 Peterbilt jakes and cruise suddenly went out

    hello

    I am having issues with my 99 Pete. Truck has no jakes or cruise but the cruise works if you push on the brake pedal pretty hard. As soon as you let off the cruise stops. Obviously can’t get the jakes to work that way as you have to jam it pretty far. Was told by previous owner they both went out together. Tried the pull the clutch out to see if it was the return spring to no avail. Any ideas?

    There is a micro switch on the clutch pedal. Check the wiring or the switch it self. Ecm thinks the clutch is pushed in.

    Came to suggest just what was already said: clutch.

    Pull the pedal out while driving with the jake on and see if it comes on.

    ^^^^^^^^^^^^ this is a good way to see if its adjusted correctly but if the switch and or wiring is at fault this does nothing.

    But that’s where I’d start anyway, if only just to rule out the simple mechanical side of it.
