Doing a 10 hour break in Newport,TN at the appropriately named Time Out Travel Center.
Walked over to the Cancun Mexican Restaurant-came here previously and told myself that I would definitely come back again! The food here last time was excellent! image.jpg When they say Shrimp C o c ktail they actually mean it!!:D

Ate there last week, good food, and reasonably priced.

By this I thought you meant it rained really hard long enough that when you parked and got out of your truck the lot didn't reek of piss?

That's usually the only time I think this.

Either that or you’re at a Pilot Flying J that hasn’t had a chance yet to have that particular “aroma”…
    In this case,I’m somewhere else.

They are doing a weird move, they bought the citgo off of exit 1, Russel rd in IL on I94.
At first I was super pissed because I love the Indian food out of there, but it seems like PFJ just picked up a franchise location, and I've seen several other non chain locations do the same.

Luckily, the Indian food is still there.

IDK, PFJ can go do a litany of four letter words to themselves. Garbage chain truck stop.

How many drivers out there still remember when Flying J was actually something special? I remember that place they opened in Massachusetts back in the 80's. Of course, being in MA, they ran squarely into the NIMBY crowd, and they shut it down about a year later. But, yeah, those FJ's used to be my preferred chain for food. Some of the 76's had good food, too. Giant, Walcott and Little America also. Burns Brothers and TA, not so much.....

    Alex,

I remember when Flying J had their Country Market restaurants. They were the best with a great menu, carving stations, large portion and really good food. Pilot sure screwed up a good thing by closing them and bring in Dennys. The J's have really gone to he'll in a hand basket.

Pilot bought the Giant truck stop in New Mexico, the Williams chain and many others and the first thing they do is screw them up.
