No, I wouldn't. Doesn't it seem out of ordinary for anyone to be that way? Sure, a lot of people get upset over trivial things, every now and then but, the way you make it sound this guy was upset at every turn. IF he was, than I say again, there is a deeper issue here.

Well it sounded like that to me, just by the expletive-laced posts.

I'm not judging , but I think this person may need some post-service help. Anger is always an indicator.

I do hope he gets what he wants and needs. I don't want to see anyone suffer for their efforts.

I know what you mean glenn71 and that is exactly what I am thinking. It doesn't take much to set things off if you have issues from the war. Maybe he has been home a while but things at home, aren't going well. Which would make sense if he is trying to get a job. When a man can't provide, it makes most feel pretty crappy. Most guys can handle it but, if a person has been in a war zone for a time, it can make a difference.

A person doesn't have to actually have been in Combat to get ptsd. Just being a soldier, and being in the Game for a while, or serving multible tours, can be a cause. Heck, I went to basic/ait when I was 36 yrs young. I had been married for 12 years and had 5 teens at home when I joined. I had no intention of going to Iraq...lol....boy was I ignorant. Anyway, I was on active orders for 20 months and only saw my family for 35 day out of that whole time. My family and I were close so my time away was crushing. I was in a Zone, a soldier zone, for all those months. I came home mid-tour for 15 days and couldn't think of anything buy my comrades and me getting back to them. When I came back after the tour, I could not adjust to life. 2006 is a blurr for me. I did things I had never done before, even thought about volunteering to go back to Iraq. It took my a year to adjust and I really didn't fully adjust for about 2 years. I never saw combat, wasn't a fobbit but never saw combat.

Here at TTR we do things a little differently than most other sites. We go to a lot of trouble to maintain civility around here, and for the last 10 years it's been a winning formula.

We're not going to have this place degenerate to level some other forums have.

I am kool with that Mack E-6, really I am. I am sure most are but, sometimes it comes at a bad time. Shutting someone out like that may be worse than letting him rant for a bit. He was talking, that is a good thing, could have given a warning, like normally is done. Either way, the rules are fine, have worked for me since 2008. peace

That wasn't what I was addressing, but I understand your point.

I wasn't here for what happened in that other thread. It was a different mod that locked it. I'm still trying to get caught up on the goings on of today.:)

I believe in free speech. I believe it with my either being. There are times when profanity really expresses what needs to be said. The fact that we consider some words dirty was handle by George Carlin back in the late 60s. We need to worry less about an artificial code of speech and more about truly caring for each other. We need to go back to "sticks and stones can break my bones but names can never harm me."

    Just my opinion.

The link below should only be listened to by someone with a warped sense of humor.

I understand that. I'm just saying everything isn't always black and white either and would hate to see threads locked at will for the little things.

No way. Been there done that. Had this happen to me when I was a trainer. Had a guy doing similar angry ranting for similar reasons, mostly complaining about the company and the job but clearly with many underlying issues. The guy quit in me 3 times in 3 weeks. The thing is I'm a combat vet too and although I know we all had different experiences and different levels of stress both "over there" and on the home front you have to draw the line somewhere, assess the situation and seek professional help. Until you can figure that for yourself you're no good as a employee and more importantly you'll beat yourself up in the process. I wish him the best of luck but I don't think he's ready just yet.
