    I have a 2000 379 and today the A/C started to only blow thru the defroster (it is cold) no matter where I set the selector. I'm guessing defroster is default mod if something goes wrong. I'm thinking its the control panel on the dash, does this sound right? I sure don't want to buy one as I bet they are spendy and find out it it is something else. Is there a way to manually set the diffuser till I get what ever fixed? Thanks in advance for any help.

    Pull center dash panel and look down there is an actuator they go out a lot and a lot cheaper then the dash control I have also seen the door inside the a/c box break start with the actuator see if its moving with the selector switch if not see if tour getting power to it use a paper clip as a probe as to not damage the plug

    Thanks. I pulled the actuator but haven't checked to see if it was getting power or not. For now I just zipped tired the flapper where it blows out the dash vents. I'll check everything out when I get home later in the week.
