    First does anybody know of any grants or what not to knock down my student loan some? I hate asking about these things (grants that is)but in the end it will cost me almost $9000 to get my cdl's.

    Secondly, who in Ohio (southeastern) does taxes for truck drivers? I was told yo need to find someone who specializes in them to get all your write off's. Is this true?

    Also just finished my orientation with TMC and head out with a trainer this coming weekend.

    Grants --- No idea.

    Tax issues. This one is tricky. You may get enough deductions your first year, with all the stuff you will buy. But I doubt it.

    I filed a straight form this past year. My deductions were not high enough to itemize. I need another $3500 just to break the ceiling.

    If you understand taxes, even a little. You should be able to file it yourself with a copy of Turbo Tax. Without any problems.

    But, it would be a safe idea to have someone do them. If you fear you might do something totally wrong. H&R Block will do them....for a price.
