My husband just went to work for them today. Everyone he talked to had nothing but good things to say.
-
Let us know how that works out.

My husband got a load to Connecticut yesterday and shortly afterward has a load back to Michigan for Monday delivery. He'll actually be home for the weekend! I'll keep you posted on how it goes.

Elkatawa Thanks this. -
So far, so good with A D Transport. He's been moving everyday!!! What a switch from where he was working. No more complaining phone calls 20 times a day. A happy hubby is a happy wife!!!!

How good are the miles? What is their idling policy.
-
No idling policy. About 700 miles a day. Trucks go 68 miles per hour.

Worked for A.D. Transport in 2005 & 2006, was told on numerous occasions to run illegal or turn in the truck, I finally did just that. A word to the wise, don't give dispatch your cell phone number, and when you do use it to call dispatch, block your number since they use caller I.D. on all company phones. Once they have your number they will call you to run illegal, they won't put it on the qualcom. I saw this happen on more than one occasion. The one good thing about them is they let you run all the toll roads. If you do decide to go with them, do your best to get on a Ford dedicated parts run out of Brownstown, Mi. these are tue only runs with any consistent miles, and you will be home every weekend

My husband has only worked for A D for 2 weeks and so far likes it and hasn't been asked to do anything like you mentioned. The other company was so large the new hires were making $.10 less per mile and were getting more miles given to them and you can't pay your bills and support a family of 4 on $350.00 to $500.00 a week. It was time to move on.

Just wait, it will happen. wait till he goes to Canton for service, sits there all day, no place to sleep (not allowed in the truck while it's being worked on ) then is told he has to run that night. Why do you think that a company with only 300 drivers has between 5 & 15 new drivers in orientation every week.
