you think that sucks try doing local runs with a reefer and its raining. 20 stops, in and out of the back of the truck. now thats not fun. give me rain i dont care. when you get wet and jump in the back of a truck thats 35 degrees, that sucks!!!
truckerdave1970 Thanks this. -
It's enough of a nightmare getting into some of the places one has to get a truck into, I sure wouldn't want to have to do that many times a day!
-
One fine day.........if you're lucky........
you'll get a job pulling a tank and not have to worry about docks or jerk-off forklift drivers.........or too many city streets..........
or have to giftwrap a load or throw tarps or chains or straps
or open your doors in the rain or drop and hook in the rain or unload in the rain.................well, all that is BS because it still rains and you're gonna get wet.......but all that other stuff is true. -
Don't be hateful there Big Red! I don't think I would like yankin tankers though. I don't like a load that has that much movement!
-
Liquid in a tank will give you a fit at times.......I still like it though.
Remember, I haul sand and it doesn't move too much.......my tanker is dry bulk.
There's other dry tanks too......none requires a tanker endorsement. -
Think about the loads of cows that Milky hauls.........his freight walks around..........
Not much room to move.......but still. -
Well, dry tanker is a different story, that's for sure. I definitely would not like a load that could walk around . . . or any of the other things those loads of Milky's can do!
Hell, I'm retired, and been out of it for too long anyway. -
You're inactive.........not retired..........
It gets in your blood...........just listen to ya..........
You're STILL here........so is Brick............
I rest my case.
