This is why I recommend newbies FIRST find a company to work for THEN go get the license ESPECIALLY if you have something sketchy in your past. Keep applying, someone will a eventually hire you. By then your new license may need to be refreshed. DUI/drugs/accidents are not minor blips on a driving record but too many newbies think they can explain them away & get a good job. Your employer doesn't know if you are Joe Schmoe or an axe murderer, he only has your application & record. Keep your record clean or work for companies nobody wants.

Your CDL school, like mine, should have refused your money since getting a job is hard FOR NOW. Wait is all I know to do.

Try TransAm as a first choice.
    Carolina Logistics second choice.
    Carolina Cargo third choice.
I think @pattyj is right, it's the refusal that's biting you. Many companies look at a refusal as being on the same level as taking a hostage.

In NJ I would go on Craigslist or go by the piers lots of owner operators looking for drivers trust me they will do a 50/50 but if you want to put that license to use worth a shot try SalSon logistics and here https://newjersey.craigslist.org/search/trp

I just kinda feel sorry ya bud. The other posters have given you the same info I would have, but NJ, well, they suck in every way. And I agree it's the refusal. Because refusal to take a drug test is a 10-year mistake. And I will bet that's how they are viewing it.
