A few noob questions?

    Wherever I park

    I get way too much time in-between loads. For example, I have 2 days to drive from Chicago to Kansas City.

    2 weeks ago I had a full week to drive from Atlanta to Chicago.

    An atlas, a pen and paper, and a calculator. I suppose the calculator could be seen as hardware. The problem w/ using software or GPS is that not all of the routes they try to send you on allow trucks. Or they try to send you under an 11'6" bridge.

    There are some GPS that are truck-specific, but they aren't 100% reliable.

    Unless you can do it the LONG way, taking shortcuts is just going to cut your trailer off at 11'6" at some point.

    besides once you learn how to trip plan it will take longer to input the information into software than to trip plan the trip it self
