A few questions about pay for a new driver

I'm fine with this, I went into this knowing the job is cpm, and at other times you're not getting paid unless your company has some kind of stop pay or load/unload pay and that your pay can be lowered by traffic and weather conditions as you drive slower. I was just upset that for an hourly wage job I was not being paid for all of my time.
