If you're going to be an O.T.R. driver these things can't be you're ,main concern. You most likely won't be able to take a shower everyday. Get a spare plastic cooler for nature's emergencies.

I've used a porta potty for a few years. (Camping world special). Just add the green stuff before hand and no odor (plus no more nasty pee bottles). I know who cleaned it and when it was cleaned last. Plus no waiting in line for a nasty toilet at a T/S, only to find it is out of paper. I just empty it out about every couple days (the green stuff kills the smell) at rest areas. (Just pull up in the rv sanitary dump station then drain and rinse it out.) In a pinch I can just take the bottom part (it comes apart) in and dump in the toilet of a rest area and flush it away.

As far as the mountain driving......either STOP watching IRT or remember its just a tv show.

I can't imagine going 1 week without a shower... But I can't judge someone that has to, trucking is definitely not an easy occupation. I'm sure I can manage showering a few times a week (every other day or when I absolutely "need it" and its available)... Would need some baby wipes and irish showers to get by...And I like the idea of the scentless porta potty... I would definitely get one of those... As far as the hill story, maybe the guy made it up, he said he had to jump out his truck because he could not stop it from rolling back. He did tell me no one was killed.
