Hey guys, I've had my eyes on the trucking business for awhile now and lately I've sat down and seriously thought about where I'm going and what I want to be doing. Trucking is what I've got my eyes and focus on. I am 19 years old and out of HS and am working a job at the grocery store and live in Morgan Hill, CA.

Truck driving fascinates me, everyone else in my family works a white collar job, but I want to drive trucks.

Thing is, I am 19. I was wondering if I went to a school and got my CDL, exactly what kind of jobs could I do with it? I know I can't do OTR until I am 21+, but I was wondering what the possibility would be to pick up some local/regional jobs for experience?

Am I eligible to go to a company school like Swift, or do I have to wait until I am 21?

    Thank you.

Most places require you to be 21 or 23. You can try to get a job driving dumps or Pepsi, things liethat.
