Michigan semi driver faces OWI charges | PerryCountyNews.com

TROY – A police investigation that started out as a welfare check quickly turned into a criminal investigation Feb. 3. Indiana State Police Senior Trooper Patrick Stinson and Trooper Christopher Rainey came into contact with Curtis McMann, 58, of Cilo, Mich., in the Troy area after being called by a concerned citizen.

    • The troopers were able to determine that McMann had driven his fully loaded tractor-trailer to a business in Troy, where he attempted to make a delivery. He allegedly failed field sobriety tests at the scene and a certified chemical test reportedly showed him to have a 0.194 blood alcohol content at the time.

It is an infraction under Indiana Law to operate a commercial motor vehicle with a BAC of .04 percent to .08 percent.

McMann was charged with operating while intoxicated with a BAC of .15 percent or above, a Class A misdemeanor and operating while intoxicated, endangering a person, also a Class A misdemeanor.

He shouldn't have any problem getting the charges dismissed. At .194 he was well clear of .08.
