A friend needs to have a 45 ft trailer hauled from Alexandria, VA to Burning Man in Nevada (about 120 miles north of Reno) in about 3 weeks, with a return about 3 weeks later. I told him it probably would work best as two separate trips, one there, one back.

I’m a company driver, have no idea how they’d get this handled. Broker?

There are people who have their own authority here. You could call up Land star. They have a lot of open deck and a lot of agents. I don't know anyone in particular. Mercer does open deck as well, call them to die one of their agents. Rhoel, ECT...

You may have to have a permit from the BLM to drive out to Black Rock.
Its a hell of a show.

It’s apparently a box trailer like racing teams use to transport race cars, that’s been refitted to use as a mobile operations center for a bunch of tech guys. I doubt that it’s very heavy.

Sounds like it's one of the dispatch trailers-

"DPW Dispatch resides in a 40 foot semi-trailer at the DPW Depot. The trailer is one of the first “structures” to take its place on the playa each year, and the crew of seven (plus or minus) operates 24/7 for approximately one month. At times, the job of Dispatch is like herding cats who are coordinating others carrying buckets of steam. The Dispatch office is a clearinghouse, welcome wagon, light in the night, resource allocator/provider, shower monitor, and activity director all rolled into one group of enflamed individuals. Dispatch members are drawn from a large volunteer pool, including newbies, returning dispatchers, some retirees from other Burning Man departments as well as several Senior Staff guest dispatchers."

It’s like that, but these guys are offering tech support. If you have practically anything that breaks, they can probably fix it.

I had the chance to go to burning man about 25 years ago. Well before it became the monstrosity it is today and I passed it up. Will never forgive myself for that one.
