That Pete is used in Heavy Haul. The 2 speed axle ratios were 5.43/7.39. They said you can put in 18th gear, low gear in the aux trans and low gear on the axle and get out of the truck and walk around it at an idle. You can google Edwards Rigging to see what kind of stuff they move.

####, that kind of transmission covers speeds from 1mph to 100mph (probably):biggrin_25525: And what kind of workout it is when you can shift 180 gears :biggrin_25526::biggrin_2551:

Kinda cool--another posts about twin sticks--loved em--don't miss em! Drove same 6x4 in a 1962 B-76(first truck-was my gramps cut my teeth on it)--then was graduated to an Emeryville(although I felt demoted and dejected LOL)--then when Grampa retired we bought a 74RModel glider kit and you guessed it--whole set up from the B tranny/rears and all went in that--that set up finally ended up in my dad's 1st 359 and although he is loooong retired--it is still in that truck and used today! Just not much. Now about the original post "Just for fun I figured out the gear ratios"
Still laughin about that one--hope you enjoyed it!

There is a clip on U tube of a 15spd and I think it was a 3 spd aux as far as shiffting gears through the steering wheel that that was the only way to do it . At least when the guy showed me how he said that is the way you do it .I have a freind that has a 95 pete with a 6 X4 air shift that I would love to have but it has a large sleeper on it and I really do not want to go through the hassle of removing sleeper and putting a day cab conversion kit on it .
