If you're happy, that's all that matters... Take care, and to all Drivers, thanks for keeping the stores stocked full of food...

It took a group of people long ago to decide channel 19 was the Trucker/Highway channel. So let's talk about establishing a GMRS Trucker/Highway channel.

To have maximum range without interference from Repeater stations, the Trucker/Highway channel will need to be channel 7 or below. On 1 thru 7 repeater operation is NOT allowed.

Heck I'll buy one and run on 7 if anybody else wants to experiment. I run from Atlanta to Charleston SC and Atlanta to Charlotte. Lots of Carolinas IOW

Alright, Channel 7 it is.. Remember, don't use privacy tones when monitoring channel 7, you want to hear all two-way traffic on the channel.

Oh yes. I've fiddled with cb since the early 70's. I have 3 different export radios now.

I’ve seen your videos and you have definitely gone the Extra mike with grounding , hard wiring your radio and positing your Antenna in the right spot to get good SWR

I had a heavier ga wire soldered(inside)and anderson connections and tan direct to battery..I only wished i had the plug in fuse vs the glass type..
My ant mount is a mount for thr latest generation of cascadia with a wilson stud..
3 braided straps on the drivers door hinge(connecting cab to door directly)
    My ant is a 102" on a 10" riser..
It all came from reading and help from others oh and youtube vids..
All of which can be bought and done by anyone who wants to..

I try and tune for resonance vs swr, that seems to follow..

    stacks Thanks this.
